Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of StudyFlow. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use StudyFlow. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.

Account creation and sign-in are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider, including optional sign-in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You agree not to:

• Use StudyFlow for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the service
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or interact with StudyFlow in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Upload content that is abusive, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data

You retain ownership of all content you create in StudyFlow (tasks, notes, flashcards, and any other data). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We will not use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

StudyFlow includes an AI Assistant, powered by Mistral AI, that can read your StudyFlow data and take actions on your account - creating, updating, or deleting tasks, notes, courses, flashcards, and quizzes when you ask it to. Destructive or previously unapproved actions require your explicit confirmation before they happen.

AI-generated responses, including quiz and flashcard content, are provided for informational convenience only. Do not rely on them for academic integrity decisions or any other high-stakes purpose. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content or in actions the Assistant takes based on your instructions.

We aim to keep StudyFlow available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control.

StudyFlow currently offers a free plan with a monthly Assistant credit allowance. A paid Premium plan with a higher credit allowance and additional features may be introduced in the future. We will give reasonable notice before any currently free feature becomes paid.

If a paid plan is introduced, billing terms will be clearly stated at the point of purchase. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. This permanently deletes your StudyFlow data and your account credentials in Clerk. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where possible.

StudyFlow is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any defects will be corrected.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of StudyFlow, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which StudyFlow operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
